I think I’m a bit of a perfectionist, which can be a problem. I’ve been writing an article for over a week now and just can’t seem to get it right, so I keep delaying posting it.
The trick I use is normally think “ok this is never going to be great (or maybe it will and you don’t know), just put it out there, see the reaction, edit if necessary, otherwise learn and move on”. And you know what? Sometimes what I think is a terrible article actually does quite well.
That happens is almost everything else: AB test I thought would lose badly ends up winning by 10%, famous authors/people do get back to you over email, etc. It’s a matter of learning when good enough is good to ship.
