Thanks for the thoughtful comment. I haven’t had the opportunity to read the novel but that’s a very good point. I especially agree that the transition from child to adult is not an easy one, especially when you start making money and “discover” that most of the things you want are a few dollars away.

For me, it clicked a few years after living on my own (I moved away from parents for university) and got tired just from “managing” things. Eventually I started selling some stuff and backpacking around the world with that money. Trading stuff for experiences was eye-opening.

I never looked back. Now it’s about having a few items that I truly love.
